• Education (Fixed Location)
BiographicalID 14. Formally Sun Valley Indian School, in 1962 this was just a vision of one lady, Gertrude Jones. She had worked with Native Americans for over 20 years and wanted to do more, mainly provide a school that would be committed to providing children with a quality Christian education. In 1963 this became a reality when the doors opened with a handful of students who were housed in a small trailer on five acres of land. After 56 years the campus is comprised of 72 acres and 32 buildings, but the dream is still the same, providing Christian education, 1st through 12th grades, with core values of Holiness, Service and Teamwork. They provide a safe boarding school environment with 3 meals per day and dedicated prayerful Christian dorm parents.
