Is there a God?
And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. (Hebrews 11:6 ESV)
Is God good?
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV)
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. (Galations 5:1 ESV)
What motivates God?
Anyone who does not love does not know God,
because God is love. (1 John 4:8)
So we have come to know and to believe
the love that God has for us. God is love,
and whoever abides in love abides in God,
and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16)
Where is God?
Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the
darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you. (Psalm 139:7-12)
What is holiness?
For I am the LORD your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. (Leviticus 11:44)
And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.(Matthew 1:40-42)
Why can't God just leave us all alone?
Why can't God just forgive and forget sin?
Who can be saved from death, if we are all bad?
What's different when Jesus dies instead of us?
What changes about us when we are saved from death?
